Jams Over Jellies
Usually, the focus of Jams Over Jellies is to play an interesting mix of music that I enjoy and think others will enjoy. Sometimes the artists are obscure and underground. Sometimes they well-known, but I usually play deep tracks, not hits. Also, I usually try to play something fresh that I have just discovered at least once per week. Either way, there's only one rule: NO MUSIC SNOBS ALLOWED! Art is subjective. I play many genres on this show, including rock (classic, modern, grunge, punk, industrial, soft, hard, medium-density?), pop, indie (hopefully not too pretentious), rap (90s mostly), blues, electronica, Americana, folk, jazz vocal, film themes/scores, synthpop, and more. Every now and then I'll play some stand-up comedy or music made by my very talented friends. Sometimes some personal experimentation with sound effects, spoken word, and electronica. |
Tear it Down
The main focus of Tear It Down! is to play "heavy s**t" (for the most part) that will make your grandmother cry and neighbors think you're either A.) holding a UFC event in your basement, B.) committing a human sacrifice in your bathtub, or C.) BOTH. All things that float about in the sea of hard rock, heavy metal & hardcore punk. Mostly stuff from the 2000s, because that's when I was a teenager/in my early 20s/not fed up with the scene just yet. Some 90s and modern stuff as well. Get it? Got it? Good. |
